March 2015 – Green Fins Philippines – Puerto Galera Implementation
From January to March 2015, the Green Fins team supported by Zoox volunteers were carrying out the fifth year of assessments in Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro.
June 2015 – Maldives – Newly trained Green Fins assessor team complete assessments
For the second year running, The Reef-World Foundation were requested by the IUCN to support the development and expansion of the Green Fins approach with a focus in the North Ari Atoll region of the Maldives.
August 2015 – Green Fins Philippines – Welcome to Green Fins Bohol
Throughout July and August a team of five Green Fins assessors will be piloting the initiative to dive centres in the Municipality of Panglao, Bohol.
November 2014 – Philippines – Malapascua Green Fins Ambassador Programme
Reef-World is proud to announce the formation of the latest Green Fins Ambassador group in Malapascua.
December 2014 – Philippines – GREEN FINS Malapascua Activities
Green Fins Coordinators have recently been assessing dive centres on Malapascua Island and despite the memory of Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) one year on, the community remains strong and empowered.
October 2014 – Green Fins Vietnam – National Developments
Recently, the Green Fins Vietnam National Team led by the Institute of Oceanography (IO) and The Reef-World Foundation conducted the second round of assessments and training for dive centre members in Nha Trang.
November 2014 – Philippines – GREEN FINS Assessor Training
With support from DENR Region 7 and the Regional technical Director Al Orolfo, The Reef-World Foundation was invited to carry out this training in Mactan, an island just off the coast of Cebu City where their Regional office is located.
August 2014 – New Green Fins Members in the Maldives
Reef-World has recently returned from a three week mission to recruit, train and assess new dive centres in Ari Atoll
June 2014 – Green Fins Study Tour in El Nido, Philippines
UNEP invited 12 selected journalists to El Nido to witness a successful example of sustainable production and consumption patterns in action – the Green Fins approach.
