We’ve gathered together a few of the Scuba Junkie crew to hear about their work to improve sustainability through the Green Fins initiative.
Despite current travel restrictions, many Green Fins members are taking this time to work on aspects of their sustainability policies. Here are just a few examples.

To get some more insight into what it’s like to be a Green Fins member, we chatted to Virginie Casse from Bali Scuba in Sanur which joined the programme in 2019.
It’s not just Green Fins members who can benefit from the initiative’s knowledge, tools and resources. The Green Fins materials are available (for free) for members and non-members alike to use to reduce their environmental impact. Wife and mother Furaha learned this first-hand when she contacted the team here at Reef-World (we coordinate Green Fins internationally) to ask for some help with her first ever beach cleanup event. The Reef-World Foundation and Chamber of Diving & Watersports (CDWS) are pleased to announce Green Fins – a UN Environment Programme initiative which provides the world’s only internationally recognised standards for diving and snorkelling – has now been expanded to be available to all dive and snorkel operators nationwide across Egypt.
