Top Tips for a Successful Beach Cleanup
Inspired to run your own beach clean-up event? Here are a few tips on how to make sure it’s a success:
August 2017 – Green Fins Philippines – Panglao dive centres show positive change for the oceans
For the third year, volunteer assessors were based in Panglao, Philippines for six weeks while undertaking the annual assessments. Battling brown outs and a quiet low season, dive centres were no less enthusiastic for environmental protection.
July 2016 – Green Fins Members collect 1000kg of marine debris – Panglao, Philippines
On July 20th 2016, Green Fins Assessors coordinated a multi stakeholder beach clean-up event that was attended by over 80 volunteers.
July 2017 – Green Fins Philippines – Doljo Beach Clean Up
On July 29th 2017, Green Fins stakeholders organised a beach clean-up involving the dive shops, local community and local government. In just two hours, over 60 volunteers collected roughly 400 kg of trash from Doljo Beach.
