In May 2017, a team of two Green Fins assessors from The Reef-World Foundation conducted a rapid site assessment of local Green Fins members and their impacts on the waters of Puerto Galera.
Between 21-26th May 2017, The Reef-World Foundation returned to Phuket to train a new team of Assessors.

The ‘Unbleach’ campaign launched by Reef-World, Green Fins international coordinators, at ADEX 2017 took a unique approach of ‘artivism’ to bring this message of hope straight into the hands of divers.
In a ground-breaking step forward for the diving industry, the Asia Dive Expo (ADEX) launched the BlueGreen360 awards in collaboration with the Coral Triangle Centre, Blue Ocean Network and The Reef-World Foundation.
During the 1st to the 3rd March 2017, a Green Fins Workshop was conducted by The Reef-World Foundation attended by state conservation officers and rangers.
In October – December 2016, volunteer assessors under the leadership of Reef-World were based in Malapascua Island, Cebu for the fourth year of assessments.
In 2015, Moalboal members saw an increase in the potential threat from their dive centres, even above their first scores, so recently international coordinators from Reef-World returned to reinvigorate momentum.
From the 23rd to the 25th November, Reef-World’s Operations Manager JJ Harvey was invited to present the Special Keynote speech on the topic of ‘Rethinking Sustainable Coastal and Marine Tourism Development’.
