North Sulawesi
Bunaken Island and Manado

The Ministry of the Environment based in Jakarta are the National Management Team and oversee the developments of the project across the country. The project was implemented in 2009 in the popular diving area of Manado in North Sulawesi and has many members still based there.

Sam Ratulangi University also joined the GF Indonesia team after attending the 'Training in the Green Fins Code of Conduct, Assessments and Reef Watch' training in May 2008 in Phuket, Thailand. They are based in Bunaken, Manado in North Sulawesi and the department previously involved with Green Fins is the Laboratory of Marine Biology, Marine Sciences Program.

There have been some local successes using the Green Fins Code of Conduct to support a variety of initiatives in Bali but overall the programme is still very much in its infancy. If you are a SCUBA diver operator or snorkel centre and want to reduce your impacts on the environment by being a Green Fins member then get in contact or visit the How to Join page for more information.
