For many years, tourists have been visiting the municipality of Dauin for dive and snorkel trips to the famous Apo Island. The island's beautiful coral reefs and surrounding marine life form a marine reserve, which the local inhabitants are dedicated to protecting. As the tourism industry has developed, more and more divers have begun to explore the incredible muck diving location of the Dauin Coast, stretching into the neighbouring municipalities of Bacong (to the North) and Zamboanguita (to the South).
